Regional College of Education, Gaya was established in 2011 under the aegis of Nav-Vihar Educational and Rural Development Society, Gaya. The college is geared especially to provide high quality education adopting the latest techniques and methodology for curriculum transaction and is poised to develop into an institute of higher learning and interdisciplinary research. The institution also aspires to kindle in the students the desire for lifelong learning and for reaching the unreached.
The College offers Teacher’s Training Programme at the undergraduate level – Two Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Two Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme, which is a specifically designed package for in-service untrained teachers working in primary/ upper primary schools. Regional College of Education has a number of modern facilities to make sure smooth conduct of its course.

Regional College of Education is managed by NAV VIHAR EDUCATIONAL AND RURAL DEVLOPMENT SOCIETY GAYA. The role of colleges of education is preparing high quality teachers is, therefore, imperative. The teachers is for 21st century should have the ability to ensure cognitive, conative and effective development of the students and create in them a value system which is a mixture of time-tested values, nationalistic and secular traditions and scientific temper. It is an arduous task and cannot be completed without high quality teacher educators. The professional development of teacher educators is, therefore the need of the hour. Since the mission of the Regional College of Education is to impart quality education, it constantly strives to attract good faculty, good scholar students, provides good infrastructure in the institution.

Because in education lays the biggest service to the individual, to the nation and to humanity the world over. With pupil teachers fired with determination to excel, a competent and dedicated faculty meticulously designed curriculum and the optimum infrastructure the RCE College have grown to be a reckoning force in the world of education. My target is to equip each and every pupil teacher of the RCE Institutions with the best education and infrastructure to help them achieve nothing but the best in life. It gives me immense happiness to greet you all through this platform today. This new dynamic RCE website has been made possible due to dedicated & selfless work done by the RCE Committees over a period of time.
I take this opportunity to thank Rajesh Ranajan Sahay and all the Committee members for their selfless efforts and their valuable contributions in keeping the spirit of Cottons going.
